Bilawal to take up PTI talks issue with PDM Chief

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will meet Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman at the latter’s residence in Abdul Khel village of Paharpur tehsil, Dera Ismail Khan today.

The foreign minister will condole the death of Mufti Abdul Shakoor with the PDM chief and also discuss the current political situation of the country with him.

According to the informed sources, the JUI had rejected the proposal of talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The party had adopted a strict stance on the issue of negotiations with the PTI in the meeting of the allied parties chaired by the prime minister the other day.

In this regard, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will discuss with Maulana Fazlur Rehman the issue of negotiations with the PTI.

He will meet the JUI chief at 3pm in Dera Ismail Khan today. Issues of mutual interest, the overall political situation and the Supreme Court’s confrontation with the Parliament will also come under discussion.
