Bilawal warns govt against creating hurdles in Islamabad rally

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has on Wednesday took a jibe at federal government over creating hurdles in smooth organization of rally at Parade ground.

Bilawal urged govt to gather wits and warned of confrontation. He said PPP’s fervent aides can’t be frightened by sending few policemen.

“To stage rally and advertise for the same is PPP’s democratic right”, Bilawal said while adding, “Islamabad’s administration has allowed us (PPP) to stage public gathering”.

It is pertinent to mention here that PPP will hold a rally in Islamabad on November 30 to mark its 50th anniversary. With Pakistan Peoples Party celebrating its 50th anniversary tomorrow, Bilawal Bhutto – the Chairman of the party, has said that the party would continue its struggle for the betterment of the public.

“I proclaim struggle for the provision of peoples’ rights,” said Bhutto. “Equality for all… social inequality needs to be abolished,” he added. In an interview with a private television channel, Bilawal Bhutto, on the occasion of PPP’s golden jubilee, said that the future belongs to the Pakistan Peoples Party owing to its ideological politics. He also said that the PPP was synonymous to struggle.

“Peoples Party fought against Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan and Musharraf’s dictatorship rule,” said the 29-year-old chairman. Talking about the party’s struggle over the years, Bhutto said: “My grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto demolished the tenancy of twenty-two families over the country and politics.” “Benazir Bhutto Shaheed carried out a historic struggle for democracy,” he added.
