Blinken meets with Icelandic President Johannesson

WASHINGTON: Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Icelandic President Gudni Johannesson on Tuesday in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Secretary Blinken and President Johannesson discussed human rights, efforts to combat the climate crisis, and the need to strengthen multilateral institutions. 

The Secretary and President also reviewed the vibrant cultural and educational exchanges and historical relations between the United States and Iceland.
