Bomb blast leaves 2 dead, hurt

KHOST: A bomb blast left one person dead and another wounded in Gardez, capital of southeastern Paktiya province, police said Saturday.

The bomb attached to a private motorcar detonated in the limits of Gardez city just before noon Saturday, Sardar Wali Tabassum, spokesman of Paktiya police, told media person. He said driver of the car was killed and a passer-by wounded in the blast, adding the slain man did not occupy any government post. He said police started investigations into the incident.
