BERLIN (AA): German Chancellor on Tuesday expressed hope for an orderly Brexit, despite growing uncertainty ahead of an April 12 deadline for the U.K.’s exit from the EU.
“I hope that a solution can still be found,” Angela Merkel said in Berlin, during a discussion with students on the future of the EU.
“The British parliament has also said that it wants an orderly Brexit. Let us see what happens,” she said.
Merkel also underlined that a no-deal Brexit would lead to a lot of uncertainty.
May’s Brexit deal has been rejected by lawmakers in three votes so far.
