KABUL (Khaama Press): The British government has once again urged all its citizens not to travel to Afghanistan. On Saturday, February 3rd, the British government issued a statement categorizing travel to Afghanistan as “highly dangerous” and warned of the risk of its citizens being detained in Afghanistan.
In the statement, the British government expressed concerns about the possibility of “terrorist attacks” around religious sites, during religious ceremonies, and on significant religious occasions.
Furthermore, the British government continues to claim that Kabul airport does not meet international safety standards.
It’s worth noting that, as of now, the de facto regime has not responded to the British government’s statement. However, in the past, they had dismissed British government claims regarding the possibility of terrorist attacks in Afghanistan as “incorrect.”
Previously, the British Foreign Office had issued warnings to its citizens about traveling to Afghanistan due to the risk of detention and potential attacks at religious sites and airports in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, both Australia and Germany’s foreign ministries have also advised their citizens not to travel to Afghanistan.
These warnings come despite assurances from Afghan authorities that they have ensured nationwide security in Afghanistan and claimed that security has improved compared to the past.
