BRT vanishes record of Green Belt, says Iftikhar

PESHAWAR:Central General Secretary of Awami National Party, Mian Iftikhar Hussain Wednesday said that record of Green Belt has been sacrificed on the altar of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project and huge corruption was done in much propagated Billion Tree Tsunami .

He expressed these views in a party meeting held at Union Council Chowki Mamraiz, said a statement issued by Baacha Khan Markaz. He said that record of Green Belt BRT has been vanished after start of BRT project.

He regretted that wild plants are also included in tsunami project and the plants that withered away were being termed as seasonal, he said maintaining that huge corruption was done in much propagated Billion Tree Tsunami Project.

Mian Iftikhar said that parliament is a useful forum to resolve political differences adding situation would have totally different, had political leaders have shown acumen and far sightedness in dealing matters.

He said PTI Chief Imran has committed a mistaken by taking political matters to court.

He said that credit of achieving milestone victory of giving identity to province goes to ANP. He warned that those elements who are trying to end 18th amendment should remember that ANP would vehemently oppose any such move.

ANP leader said that image of department tasked to conduct accountability has been tarnished. He claimed that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf government has refused to present provincial budget as it has lost majority.

He urged party workers to forge unity among their ranks and make preparations for next elections.
