Karachi: Transport Department government of Sindh has decided to conduct test run of Sindh People’s Intra District Bus Service.
This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon on Friday. Secretary Transport Abdul Haleem Sheikh, Secretary Information Abdul Rashid Solangi, Managing Director Sindh Mass Transit Authority Capt (r) Altaf Hussain Sario and others attended the meeting.
The Provincial Minister said that the test run of the bus service would be held on Saturday June 4, at 4 pm. on Sindh People’s Bus Service Route 1 from Model Colony to Avari Towers. He added that the citizens of Karachi were anxiously awaiting the commencement of bus service. The bus service will be formally launched a few days after the completion of the test run phase.
The Provincial Minister said that the Sindh government was going to resolve the long standing problem of public transport in Karachi. In this regard, the Transport Department is working day and night to provide modern mass transit facilities to the citizens.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the efforts of the transport department would soon be visible to the public.
