Bushra Ansari advises against buying flags on Independence Day

(Web Desk): With only a few days left until Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day, veteran actress Bushra Ansari has issued an important message to her fans. On August 1, stalls selling flags, badges, and other items for the Independence Day celebrations will pop up across the country.

As Pakistanis began their preparations for the festivities, Bushra Ansari took her official Instagram handle to share a thought-provoking post. She urged people to buy plants instead of green crescent flags this 14th August and contribute to making Pakistan greener.

Ansari appealed to her followers to spread this message on various social media platforms. She emphasised the importance of planting trees, especially considering the rising temperatures in Pakistan over the past few years.

Record-breaking heat has become a concern, not only in June and July but in other months as well, leading to the emergence of several new diseases.

Reports indicate that the increase in temperature is largely due to deforestation. Urban areas are losing trees, which exacerbates the heat.
