Business-class air travellers to pay more

KARACHI: In order to meet one of the demands of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the government has levied more tax on those travelling through business class or first class so that rich and affluent could also be made to share the burden of taxes, channel on Friday. 

The government has levied federal excise duty on the tickets for those travelling to different countries through the above-mentioned classes.

However, those travelling through economy class will be exempted from the tax.
