Cadet College to be set up in Orakzai

ORAKZAI: Adviser to Chief Minister on Education Ziaullah Bangash said Thursday the government was giving priority to socio-economic development of tribal districts and announced that a cadet college would be established at Orakzai district.

During his one-day long visit to Orakzai district, the education adviser said Prime Minister Imran Khan was keen to bring qualitative change through socio-economic development-oriented measures in the tribal district and establishment of such key educational institution was part of such vision, he added.

Ziaullah Bangash visited various schools in the district and inspected facilities in those institutions. He also met elders of Jirga that apprised him about the problems facing the people. He also inaugurated Government Middle and High School Saama Bazar, Aurakzai, Governemnt Girls Higher Secondary School Aurakzai, Govt degree college for boys Ghulchu and political agent public school Aurakzai.

Addressing Jirga’s elders, the education adviser lauded the services of Pak army and tribal elders for ensuring peace in the area and paid tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives. He announced to set up an independent monitoring unit for improving teachers’ attendance rate in schools of the district.

He said that teachers would be recruited on merit and added advertisement had been floated in this regard. He said that all basic facilities would be provided to schools of the district to ensure learning environment for students.
