SANTA ROSA: At least 17 people have been killed and more than 2,000 homes and businesses were destroyed in blazes as the firefighters continues their effort to control the wildfires in California’s wine country.
As per the firefighters the weather gave us some relief in our fight on Tuesday as cooler temperatures, lower winds and coastal fog allowed them to fasten their work against the blazes which had burned 115,000 acres.
The rescue officials told that around 155 people were still missing in Sonoma County while 45 others had been found from the area safely.
The city of Santa Rosa was particularly damaged in the wildfire, which damaged a Hilton hotel and destroyed a mobile home park.
