LAHORE: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will have no objections if it has to ally with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for national betterment, said PPP leader Raja Pervez Ashraf on Saturday.
The former premier made the comments after appearing before an accountability court hearing a graft case against him.
Ashraf said accusing state institutions is akin to weakening the state, adding that the PPP, under any circumstances, did not attack the Supreme Court.
“Our wish is to see that the next general elections are held on time,” said the PPP leader.
Earlier, the PTI chairman had said he would never side with the “corrupt” PPP chief Asif Ali Zardari.
