CDA forcefully vacates house on minister’s order

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government powerful minister through the Capital Development Authority (CDA) high-ups forcefully vacated a government allotted house to a low grade employee and later allotted the same house to the minister’s driver in Dhobi Ghat  area  in violation of laws a reliable source who is familiar of the process told The Frontier Post wished not to be named.

The source added that one member of the minister’s family approached high-up of the civic agency (CDA) for allotment of government house to their driver on immediate basis following the direction the CDA top brass handed over the task to then Director Administration Malik Azhar regarding allotting government house to the minister’s driver.

The source added that then director administration after reviewing the process responded to the heavy weight of CDA that hundreds the civic agency employees are waiting for allotment of houses and this move will not only violates the merit but as well will suffer other employees.

“Director Admin argues with CDA stalwart that if you provide a written procedure for adjusting the minister’s driver we will accommodate it but on next day the director admin of the civic agency was transferred from his position just to accommodate the driver of the influential minister the source added.

Another official of Capital Development Authority (CDA) seeking anonymity told The Frontier Post that after refusal of the director admin and later his transfer a recently hired DC in CDA from ICT vacated the house from the low grade employee after sunset without issuing him a show cause notice the official added.

According to the record of the civic agency the employee have a valid stay of six months but his house was vacated on directions of the top brass of CDA to accommodate the PTI minister’s driver.

CDA DC responded to get official version from the civic agency official spokesman.

He added that hundred of CDA and MCI own employees are waiting for allotment of government houses but the driver was accommodated in violation of merit in an illegal move.

The removal of the director admin was cross verified from top official and they endorsed that he was transferred from his position while not accommodating the minister’s driver.

The Frontier Post made various call to then director admin and sent a written questionnaire but he didn’t respond on the issue.

Chairman CDA Aamir Ali Ahmad responded that the Director Admin not fired from his position and he is currently working on deputation in Punjab and still an employee of the civic agency. Although he added that illegal occupant will be evicted.
