Ceasefire violations: Pakistan summons Indian deputy high commissioner

ISLAMABAD: Director General of South Asia and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Dr Muhammad Faisal has summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. J.P Singh and condemned the ceasefire violations by Indian forces in Chirkot sector.

As per reports the Indian forces started firing at the Chirkot sector on 2 September 2017 in which 8 year girl identified as Momina.  In 2017 more than 700 times Indian forces violated ceasefire at the Line of Control (LoC) and at the working boundary in which 30 civilians were died and 113 injured.

DG urged the Indian government to respect the 2003 arrangement and follow the agreement between the two countries for maintaining the peace at the line of control.
