Change doesn’t come from lying to people, Marriyum slams Imran’s speech

ISLAMABAD (APP): Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb remarked that tabdeeli [change] doesn’t come from lying to people while reacting to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan’s speech in Mianwali earlier today.

“Change comes after working hard day and night like [Chief Minister Punjab] Shehbaz Sharif has done,” she said in a statement issued on Saturday.

Slamming Imran’s speech, she remarked “Imran is repeating his speeches and his lies. Imran lies every time he opens his mouth.” Imran’s envy and greed for power have made him mentally unstable, alleged the minister.

Earlier in the day, Imran had remarked that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif should refrain from drama, in his public address in Mianwali.

Responding to this, Marriyum stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could have been like Punjab if instead of spreading lies, Imran had trained under Shehbaz.

“Imran failed to control the spread of dengue in his province,” she remarked, adding that it is about time that Imran announces to make the provincial accountability commission functional.

“Shehbaz Sharif is the name of progress. Shehbaz’s work speaks for it self,” she added.

Speaking about problems in the educational institutes of KP, she claimed that about 35 per cent of schools in the province don’t have access to clean drinking water, whereas there are no toilets in 30pc of the schools.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan on Saturday said that it is high time that Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif should stop fooling the nation.
