Changing stance with time isn’t ideology, Bilawal criticises ex-PM Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said on Thursday that disqualified premier Nawaz Sharif does not understand what ideology means and that changing your stance as time goes does not amount to vision.

While talking to the media in Islamabad, PPP chief demanded off Nawaz Sharif to not align his personal matters with his politics and accused him of being part of every conspiracy over the years that was against democracy.

He claimed that PPP has always stood by democracy in Pakistan and the political party agrees with coming together of all the fronts for the sake of democracy.

Bilawal alleged that Nawaz Sharif has been catering to his personal interests all his career and still does the same. The PPP chief held supremacy of the law crucial for any strengthened democracy in the world.

He further demanded the ousted premier and president of ruling PML-N to not resort to politics of statements and work for supremacy of the law.

Earlier today, former president and co-chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari refused to convene a meeting with Nawaz Sharif, Senator Farhatullah Babar confirmed the reports.

Asif Zardari has remarked that Nawaz Sharif is responsible for the current political situation in Pakistan. The disqualified premier talks about Charter of Democracy only when he finds himself in trouble, commented Zardari.
