LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal declared the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) to charter of economy on Monday and said that they will not come under pressure at any cost.
Talking in Dunya News program ‘Nuqta-e-Nazar’, he asserted that whole nation knows that Prime Minister Imran Khan was elected through rigged elections. Masses will stop believing in the democracy if such system keeps prevailing, he continued. He added that even world organizations also believed that there was no level playing field in the election.
He expressed that if PM Khan wishes to get elected with dishonesty then he must know it will remain dishonesty no matter what.
While responding to a question, he said that charter of economy has become ineffective now. “Government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sabotaged the charter of economy,” he added.
He further said that however charter of economy could work out in the form of working relationship. “Shehbaz Sharif said that if government takes a serious step, we will take two”, he added.
