BEIJING (Agencies): The Chinese judo team won two gold, one silver and three bronze at the Judo Asian-Pacific Championships, according to the Chinese Judo Association here on Wednesday.
Li Yanan won the women’s under 48-kilogram category title, while Yang Junxia dominated the women’s under 63kg category. China also finished third in team event. The Asian-Pacific Championships, ran from April 20 to 23 at the United Arab Emirates, served as an Olympic qualifier and attracted 273 judokas from 40 countries and regions. The Chinese team left Beijing on April 18 and returned on Wednesday. The Chinese judo team only took two bronze at the 2016 Rio Games.
