Civil-military leadership deliver one message in meetings with Mattis: Khawaja Asif

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that leadership of civil and military are on the same page in the meeting with the US Defense Secretary James Mattis

Asif said this while talking to private news channel last night. He said that both civil and military leaderships have one voice and we have no difference regarding the national interest and we spoke with same words in the meeting with the US delegation.

While answering to a question regarding the separate meeting with civil and military leadership, he added that there is no point in raising doubts over it as we already exchanged words on it and a single script was discussed in the meeting.

Foreign Minister informed the US Defense Secretary that Pakistan don’t need any aid but we want mutual understanding and recognition of our sacrifices and also informed Mattis that out of 128 attacks in Pakistan 125 were carried out and were coordinated from Afghanistan and asked to play their role in stopping these cases.

He further added that for the better relationship among Pakistan and US we need to trust each other and it will really help in controlling the situation in the region.
