Civil-military relations are growing in the right direction: PM Abbasi

LONDON: Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said remarked on Saturday that relation between Pakistan civil and military are developing in the right direction.

This he said while speaking to “Future of Pakistan 2017” conference held at the London School of Economics South Asia center on Saturday. He said that both the civil and military leadership of Pakistan understand the issues that country are facing and are working in mutually in the better interest of the masses.

PM Abbasi gave a comprehensive view on Pakistan’s current including disqualification of Nawaz Sharif and development of the country in the last four years.

Regarding the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif, PM Abbasi added that court disqualified the sitting prime minister Nawaz Sharif and he left the office without hesitation and accepted the decision but we left it to the history to history to judge it whether history accepts the judgment or not.

PM Abbasi claimed that the people didn’t accept the Supreme Court decision regarding the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif on the basis of Iqama.

While answering to a question regarding relation with India, PM Abbasi added that negotiation is the only way for ending the conflict between the two countries and makes the region more peaceful.

He added that India have to give due rights to the people of Kashmir and the people of Kashmir should be given the right to self-determination.
