Civilian casualties increasing day by day due to India’s violations across LoC: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Babar Iftikhar said that the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) is extremely tense and the number of civilian casualties is increasing day by day.

DG ISPR termed Indian military leadership’s allegations that Pakistan Army was operating terrorist launch pads at the Line of Control as  baseless  and  non-serious .

Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar invited international observers to pay a visit to the LoC to witness whether the Indian claims are true or not.

Speaking about the novel coronavirus pandemic, he said that the Pakistani media has an important and positive role on the Coronavirus issue, adding that the armed forces have been called in to assist the civil administration.

“We are working with the civil administration in all districts,” he said and added the support of the civil administration continues on the direction of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The DG ISPR said that a team of Chinese specialist doctors is present in Pakistan, adding that they shared their experiences with us, for which we are grateful.

He said: “India s violations across the LoC were increasing with each passing day, adding that the situation at the LoC is turning serious.”

“India is leveling baseless allegations against Pakistan to divert attention from the issues,” he added.
