LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Sunday took notice of the delay in provision of justice to the families and victims of 2014 Model Town incident.
As per details, CJP also summoned a report from Punjab government on reasons behind delay.
He directed a provincial law officer to submit a report of the provincial authorities in this regard. CJP took notice of the matter on request of a daughter of woman who was killed in the incident.
On June 17, 2014 police moved to remove the barriers placed on roads leading to Minhajul Quran institutions and residence of Dr Tahirul Qadri in Model Town of Lahore, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief.
