CJP directs KP govt to shut down quacks in province

PESHAWAR: Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has directed the authorities to take action against the quacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

CJP Mian Saqib Nisar ordered this while hearing the case in Supreme Court Peshawar registry on Friday.

During the hearing Chairman Health Care Commission informed the court that at least 15000 fake doctors exist in the province while 122 of them have been banned.

CJP asked the chairman that these quacks are playing with the lives of the people and what are you doing. CJP was informed that Chairman HCC is receiving Rs 0.5 million salary.

You are receiving Rs 0.5 million receiving salary and your performance is Zero, apex court judge remarked.

The court also summoned report of closing inquiry against fake doctor Qudratullah.

CJP asked how did a matric pass doctor was appointed in government hospital? And why did the inquiry was stopped on the directions of Chief Minister?
