CJP Saqib Nisar calls Punjab governor’s son in medical colleges fee hike case

LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar summoned the son of governor Punjab on Wednesday while hearing the suo moto case of fee hike in private medical colleges.

The two member bench was informed by Lawyer that she received a threatening call from owners of the private medical colleges and the son of governor Punjab after she complained about the increase of fee in medical college.

Later the CJP summoned the son of the governor in the case.

Earlier, owners and chief executives of private medical colleges appeared before the Supreme Court Lahore registry, except the representatives of Fatima Memorial Medical College.

The chief justice ordered to shift the medical fee hike case to the Supreme Court and adding that the Supreme Court will decide the procedure and free structure of the medical colleges all over the country, and the owners will be bound to follow the directives.

The CJP barred admission in all private medical colleges countrywide.
