IS claims responsibility for Jalalabad motorcycle bombing

NANGARHAR: Islamic State, a terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the motorcycle bomb explosion at Jalalabad city in which four people were killed and several others were injured.

The terrorist group issued a statement and according to another source (Amaq News) which published IS reports claimed that the target of the attack was a pro-government gathering in the city.

The incident took place at around 1 pm local time as a large gathering was underway in a stadium in the first police district of the city.

Provincial governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani confirmed that the explosion was triggered by a motorcycle and adding that at least four people lost their lives in the explosion and ten others were injured.
