Clearance of empty trucks at Torkham completed

PESHAWAR: The clearance process of empty trucks and containers, which held at Khwar Maidan near Torkham border has completed.

In a statement issued by Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here on Wednesday, the clearance of hundreds of empty trucks and containers by authorities concerned at Torkham, has reduced cost transportation but it has also accelerated export from Pakistan.

The statement further elaborated the SCCI president Faiz Muhammad Faizi had lauded federal minister for Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, IG FC Commandant FC Col Fakhar Hamayun, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Ambassador of Afghanistan in Pakistan Atif Mishal, Customs Officer Faiz Ali and Faisal Bokhari for their joint and concerted efforts in clearance of the empty trucks and containers in a short span of time.

It stated that the effort will not give boost to export between Pakistan and Afghanistan but it will also provide facilities to business community of the both countries as well as to remove impediments in way of mutual trade.
