CM approves IT based ‘Wheat Flour Supply Chain System’

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan Friday approved newly established IT based “Wheat Flour Supply Chain System” in the province through which all the data and information would be recorded about wheat flour.

While presiding over an meeting in this regard, the Chief Minister stated that IT based wheat supply chain system is the first ever initiative of its kind in Pakistan and a valuable addition to the efforts of provincial government towards E-Governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that through the system data about stock available, district wise flour demand vs supply, trends on short fall, inspection of flour mills, geotagging of godowns & mills and supply to dealers etc is being computerized adding that provincial and district wise wheat flour situation on daily basis would be available on dash board for the monitoring and consideration of Chief Minister and Chief Secretary as well.

A meeting held at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar, was attended by Provincial Minister for food Qalandar Lodhi, Advisor to Chief Minister Ajmal Wazir, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shahab Ali Shah, Administrative Secretaries of concerned departments, Commissioner Peshawar, head of strategic support units and others.

The Chief Minister was briefed in details on the newly introduced wheat atta supply chain system in the province. While briefing about the key features of the system, the meeting was told that wheat flour situation could be monitored and analyzed on daily basis for which exclusive dash board has been established.
