CM KP inaugurates Insaf Rozgar Scheme for merged districts

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Thursday formally inaugurated Insaf Rozgar Scheme under which one  billion rupees would be distributed as interest free loans among the 5500 deserving people of tribal merged districts to provide them an opportunity to start or grow their existent businesses.

At the formal ceremony, held at CM’s House, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan gave sanction letters of loans to 27 successful applicants, including women, and said that the loans would help the people, aged from 18 to 50, from the merged districts to establish or develop their current businesses so that they may not only find means of livelihood but also the government wanted to stir the economic activities in the terrorism struck tribal districts.

“Merger of erstwhile Fata into KP was a complicated task for the provincial government but accomplished it successfully,” he said and added that now the government is mainstreaming the tribal districts for which the initiation of the Insaf Rozgar Scheme is a landmark achievement.

Chief Minister provided sanction letters to youth from different tribal districts including Kurram, Bajaur, Dara Adam Khel, Khyber and formerly FR Kohat region, who had submitted applications for initiating business such as general stores, solar & battery shops, cosmetics, cloths business, establishing photo state shops, shoes shops, utensil shops, cold beverages, honey business, tailor shops, mobile repairing, stationary and sport shops. He also appreciated the efforts of the armed forces and said that the armed forces deserved special appreciation.
