COAS Bajwa says Indian occupation of Kashmir threatens region’s peace

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Thursday that the continuation of violations of human rights (HR) as well as of international laws in the Indian occupied Kashmir posed a threat to the regional peace.

In his two tweets on the completion of two years of the revocation of Article 370 by India, which had granted a special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, he said that resolution of the Kashmir dispute was a must for lasting peace in the region.

General Bajwa also hit out at India’s attempts to bring about demographic changes in the occupied territory, saying this will further aggravate the crisis rather than solving it.
