COAS presides 221st corps commanders’ conference

RAWALPINDI: General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), presided 221st corps commanders’ conference on Friday at General Headquarter (GHQ), Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) reported.

As per details, the forum reviewed evolving geo-strategic environment and security situation of the country including progress of operation Radd ul Fasaad, the military’s media wing, ISPR, said.

The army leadership also reiterated to continue its efforts for bringing enduring peace in the country while supporting all initiatives towards regional peace.

A day earlier, during his visit to Peshawar, the chief of army staff said Pakistan Army and the nation rendered unmatched sacrifices in war against terrorism and eliminated the menace of terrorism. He said, “Time has come to devolve the achievements to masses through social and economic progress.”

“For us progress towards enduring peace through socio economic development comes first and we shall fail all inimical forces and their conspiracies trying to undo our gains”, the COAS added.
