COC against Fawad, Firdous: PHC observes to visit late Justice Seth grave

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has pull out contempt of court notices against Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudary and Former Advisor for Information Firdous Aishaq Awan for using objectionable language for late Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth, on Monday.
The divisional bench of PHC comprising of Justice Rooh-ul-Amin and Justice Syed Arshad Ali hearing contempt of court proceedings against Fawad Chaudary and Firdous Aishaq Awan for using immoral language against late Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth in former president Musharaf’s verdict.
The petitions were filed by Malak Ajmal Khan and Aziz-u-Din Kakakhail in which former Attorney General Anwar Mansoor, Federal Minister for Law and Former Advisor to Prime Minister Shahzad Akbar had submitted unconditional apology before court while PHC had ended proceeding against them.
During hearing Additional Attorney General Amir Javeed informed PHC that Fawad Chaudary and Firdous Aishaq surrendered and requested for apology from court.
However, Justice Rooh-ul-Amin remarked that unfortunately parliamentarian did not following legislation passed by themselves and added that prepare law which will provide amnesty to legislators from contempt of court and established laws.
Justice Rooh-ul-Amin remarked that honorable Waqar Ahmad Seth had dead, so go to graveyard and make pray on his grave for sake departed soul.
The divisional bench of PHC has accepted unconditional apology and pull out Contempt of Court (COC) proceeding against Fawad Chaudary and Firdous Aishaq Awan.
