Collecting Revenue from Issuing Certificates Center inaugurated

KABUL (Pajhwok): Ministry of Industry and Commerce officials at the opening ceremony of Revenue Collection from Issuing Certificates of Origin and Registering Invoices emphasized the need for private sector to cooperate with the government.

The opening ceremony of “Revenue Collection Center from Issuing Certificates of Origin and Registering Invoices” was held today (Sunday) at the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment.

The Prime Minister Office announced in a decree that, based on the findings of Administrative Commission, all sectoral chambers play a significant role in the economic development and growth of the nation economy, and it is necessary that the revenues generated from issuing certificates of origin and registering invoices be distributed among the chambers based on a mechanism.

Based on the decree, these revenues are being distributed so that sectoral chambers can play their effective role in improving affairs and increasing the value and volume of the country’s exports.

Acting Minister Nooruddin Azizi explained different sectoral chambers should not have differences among themselves because it prevented the country from growing.

The private sector must be active and stand alongside the government as the Leader of the Islamic Emirate has called businessmen “economic mujahedeen”, he added.

According to Azizi, the IEA, in addition to supporting trade, provides great support to the industry.

Because of Afghanistan’s needs, the industry sector must be revived in the country.

Meanwhile, Khairuddin Mayel, Deputy Director of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, explained the chamber was complying with all decisions of IEA aimed at promoting trade, industry, and agriculture.

The Chamber of Commerce and Investment wants its position to be maintained and clarified, and to participate in providing all mechanisms for the country’s economy.

Shirbaz Kaminzada, general director of the Chamber of Industries and Mines, said all businessmen in the country have turned to industry and this is a good performance.

“When we have production, there is no need to import. We have to export. Countries that have good exports are the ones that can at least have a say”.

Maulvi Khan Mohammad was introduced as the head of the “Center for Collecting Revenue from Issuing Certificates of Origin and Registering Invoices”.
