KABUL (BNA): The Technical Committee of the Economic Commission held its regular session to deliberate on several crucial matters, including the framework for establishing liquid gas facilities and the draft revenue policy for the mining sector.
According to a press release, the committee thoroughly evaluated the proposed issues. After extensive deliberation and necessary revisions, the procedural framework for the construction of liquid gas facilities received the committee’s approval and has been forwarded to the Economic Commission for final endorsement.
The approved framework mandates that all government-affiliated and private gas distribution companies relocate their storage facilities from urban centers and densely populated areas. In compliance with the framework, these entities are required to construct new, fully compliant facilities that meet all stipulated standards.
Furthermore, the committee engaged in a detailed discussion concerning the draft revenue policy for the mining sector, prepared by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum. After careful scrutiny, the committee approved the policy, which has now been submitted to the Economic Commission for formal approval.
