KABUL: Two new positive cases of COVID-19 were registered in Kabul on Wednesday night, said the Ministry of Public Health, bringing the total number of the positive cases to 239.
Earlier on Wednesday, 41 new positive cases of coronavirus had been reported in Herat, according to the ministry.
The Public Health Ministry spokesman Wahidullah Mayar at a press conference on Wednesday said: “We have received assistance from the UAE” to fight coronavirus, adding that “China’s assistance will arrive by tonight.”
On Monday, Health Minister Ferozuddin Feroz, at an opening ceremony for a COVID-19 testing center in Kabul, said the capacity of health facilities in the country will be increased to 1,000 tests a day by the end of this week.
