Contempt case: Supreme Court to indict Daniyal Aziz on March 13

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan resumed the contempt of court hearing against the Federal Minister for Privatization Daniyal Aziz on Tuesday.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed ordered to indict Federal Privatization Minister Daniyal Aziz on March 13.

The bench showed dissatisfaction over the Aziz’s response to the court’s show-cause notice.

Counsel of Daniyal Aziz told the court that media reports regarding the Aziz’z client are totally baseless and false and it was presented out of the context.

Earlier on Monday, minister had submitted his reply in court, saying that being a parliamentarian he cannot even think of disrespecting state institutions and he blamed that media for misrepresenting his speeches and statements regarding the apex court decisions.
