Contract signed for completion of Lala residential apartments

KABUL: A contract was signed for the resumption of the construction work of hundreds of apartments in Lala residential complex.

According to the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MUDH), the contract was signed by the Minister of Urban Development and Housing Syed Sadat Mansoor Naderi, Minister of Finance Iklil Hakimi, and Attorney General Farid Hamidi.

The construction work of 336 apartments in six blocks will be completed based on the new Memorandum of Understanding signed between the three government institutions.

The Ministry of Finance of Afghanistan will fund the construction work of the project, the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing said.

According to the ministry, the construction work of the project was put on hold since a long time ago and it is expected that the work will be completed over a period of one year once the funds have been received.

A port of the apartments will be distributed to the customers who have already made advance payments while 242 of the apartments will be distributed to the judiciary sector workers and employees.

The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing also added that the apartments will be sold to judiciary employees on installments and on President Mohamamd Ashraf Ghani’s order.
