Contracts signed for extraction of 10 mines

URUZGAN (TOLOnews): Mohammad Aali Jan Ahmed, the governor of Uruzgan, announced that extraction will soon begin in ten mines in the province. According to the governor, the contract for the extraction of ten fluoride and turquoise mines in the center and in four districts of the province will be given to some private companies, which will provide work for hundreds of people. “There are contracts signed for 10 mines in Uruzgan province, these mines have been entrusted to companies with large contracts, and we have been assured that the mining work will begin soon,” said Mohammad Aali Jan Ahmed. The residents of Uruzgan want the authorities to spend part of the money earned from the extraction of these mines on development projects in the province. “These people have suffered a lot, now it’s time to pay attention to them,” said Sayed Wali Sediqi, a lecturer. “Until now, there have been many people in Uruzgan province who are suffering from unemployment in one sector, in one department, they should be given attention, and the field of work should be provided for them,” said Ghulam Nabi Shuja, an Uruzgan resident. According to the information of officials in Uruzgan, it is expected that the contract for the extraction of two fluoride mines in the Gizab district of the province will soon be signed by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum with private companies.
