KABUL: Unidentified assailants killed a youth and a policeman after two separate attacks in Kabul and Farah provinces, officials said late Wednesday night.
Gunmen opened fire on a police in Makhabirat Square, Farah city, late Wednesday evening, killing him on the spot, said Farid Bakhtawar, chairman of Farah’s provincial council.
He said the attacker made his escape good.
The incidents of target killings have recently increased in this western City forcing security forces take strict security arrangements.
In Kart-e-Mamoreen area of Kabul city, Kabul province, a young man was shot and injured by unknown gunmen Wednesday evening, said Hashmatullah Stanekzai, spokesman of Kabul police.
He said the victim died of wounds while on way to hospital. Police started investigations into the incident.
