HAFIZABAD: A constable of city police station was fatally injured when a van hit his bike on Gujranwala road near Chak Chatha about 3-km from here last night.
According to police source, Sardar Nasir Mahmood constable was on way to his village and when he reached near Chak Chatha, a speeding van coming from opposite direction hit his bike a result of which he sustained critical injuries. He was rushed to the local hospital where he breathed his last. The police have registered a case against the van driver and are investigating.
