Corps Commander visits 29 Brigade Zhob

ZHOB: Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa has praised the sacrifices of tribal elders for the country and said that it was essential to keep each other in link with unity and brotherhood, for the betterment of the nation. He was addressing notables, elected representatives and officers during his visit to Zhob garrison here on Thursday. General Asim Malik, Station Commander 29 Brigade Brigadier Intikhab Alam and army officers accompanied him.

Commander Southern Command was warmly welcomed and Chairman Abdul Sattar Kakar presented him traditional turban on his arrival. The ceremony was attended by the representatives of civil administration, political leaders and notables who thanked Commander Southern Command and appreciated the much needed assistance.

Corps Commander Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa while addressing lauded the tribal elders for their full support to the security forces in their efforts for peace and stability of the region. Provincial Minister Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail and Member Provincial Assembly Mufti Gulab Kakar also spoke on the occasion. They welcomed the commander and lauded his services. The elected representatives stressed the need for the entire nation to extend support to the armed forces.

Commander also interacted with local notables who acknowledged contributions of the security forces towards progress and stability in their areas. President ANP Muhammad Anwer Mandokhail, Chairman Balochistan Awami Tehreek Fazal Amin Mandokhail, President PTI Dawood Khan Mandokhail, Chairman Zhob Qaumi Jirga Akther Shah Mandokhail, Ajmal Awan and Bismullah Appozai assured the commander of full cooperation and asked for his help in resolving the area problems.

Two killed road accident: Two including a woman killed and seven others critically injured in road accident near Killi Mena cross on Quetta highway. The car was heading towards Killi Batozai skidded-off the road, when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve. The dead and the injured have been shifted to DHQ civil hospital.
