KARACHI: A World Bank delegation led by its Country Director Najy bin Hassine called on Sindh Information and Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Wednesday at his office. Program Leader Abed Alrzaq Khalil and Senior Operations Officer Amena Raja also included in the delegation.
Secretary Local Government Syed Najam Shah assisted the Minister. Project Director Competitive & Livable City Of Karachi (CLICK) Muhammad Afzal Zaidi, Project Director Solid Waste Emergency and Efficiency Project (SWEEP) Syed Salahuddin were also present on the occasion. The meeting reviewed the progress and bottlenecks of three projects of Karachi in detail.
On the occasion, Provincial Minister for Information and Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that the World Bank has extended lot of support to development projects of Sindh especially the infrastructure development of Karachi adding that Sindh Government was very grateful to World Bank for its support in the development of infrastructure in the province.
He said that World Bank is our trustful partner in the development of Sindh. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that Sindh Government has a special interest in improving the infrastructure of Karachi and wanted to complete the World Bank assisted projects within stipulated time.
