Country on the verge of economic devastation due to govt policies: Hamza Shahbaz

LAHORE: Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz on Monday said that the federal government has left the country on the verge of devastation.

“Why has the government not taken concrete steps for the solution of problems” he asked.

The PML-N leader went on to say that the nation stood united against Indian war hysteria and almighty God knows that nation always showed harmony and unity during crises.

Late former prime minister and founder of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Zulfikar Ali Bhutto took initiative to make the country nuclear power and Nawaz Sharif for nuclear explosion against India under the immense international pressure.

Hamza said: “We offered economic charter during economic crisis of the country but their offer was responded with slogans of thief, thief.”

“Finance Minister Asad Umer first announced against taking bailout package from the IMF but later approached IMF,” he said and added we have to end the situation of economic uncertainty to boost the country s economy.
