Court acquits Zafar Hijazi in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case

ISLAMABAD: In an important development, a court in Islamabad on Saturday acquitted former Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) chairman Zafar Hijazi in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) record tampering case.

Special Judge Central Shah Rukh Arjumand pronounced the verdict.

A case had been registered against Hijazi in July 2017.
