Court approves interim bail of Gazain Marri in murder case

QUETTA: Court of District and Session approved the interim bail of Gazain Marri, who was arrested from the airport on arrival to Pakistan.

The district court on Monday approved the bail of Gazain Marri after submitting Rs one million surety bonds.

Gazain Marri, son of the late nationalist leader, Khair Baksh Marri and he was arrested by security forces in a murder case. Gazain had gone into self imposed exile from the past 18 years. He is accused of killing Justice Nawaz Marri murder and also supporting the banned militant groups Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).

Gazain Marri in June this year had said that his hands are clear and he has nothing to do with BLA and also he was wrongly booked in the murder of Justice Nawaz Marri and I will face the courts when I return to Pakistan.

Nawab Khair Baksh Marri passed away in June 2014 in Karachi after a long illness and he had six sons, including Balach Marri, Jangaiz Marri, Hyrbyiar Marri, Gazain Marri, Hamza Marri and Mehran Marri.

Both Hyrbyiar and Mehran Marri living abroad in exile and wanted to state for operating banned outfits in Balochistan.

Jangez Marri presently heads the Marri tribe. He is also the Minister for Irrigation and Energy in Balochistan and has been elected from PB-23, Kohlu. He belongs to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
