Court grants bail in crypto scam

PESHAWAR: The Accountability Court Peshawar Judge Younas Khan granted bail to alleged fraudster involved in embezzlement of Rs2 billion 75 corer in the name crypto currency on Rs five million along with two personal sureties, on Tuesday.

The counsel Anim-ur-Rehman Yousafzai and Maaz Khalil advocates informed that the Riaz Khattak is behind the bars in allegation of alleged embezzlement of Rs2 billion 75 corer in the name of crypto currency.

He added that the petitioner has no link with the scam but arrested on the allegation that his book’s shop was used as office in the embezzlement.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had already arrested main culprit of the scam and have no evidence to link relation of the petitioner with the financial scam, the lawyers stated. They added that money is also transferred to another account and reached to the main accused.

Accountability Court Peshawar Judge Younas Khan granted bail to Riaz Gul Khattak on two personal sureties along with Rs5 million after conclusion of arguments.
