Court indicts Dar in corruption reference case

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: The accountability court indicted Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in a corruption reference case on Wednesday.

However, Dar rejected all the allegations and vowed to prove his innocence in court.

National Accountability Court (NAB) has submitted a list of 16 witnesses to be produce in the case at next hearing on October 4.

Finance Minister reached the court little before the required time in a tight security but the gates were closed and he got back to his vehicle.

Dar requested the court to grant him exemption from appearance in the case but NAB opposed Dar’s request and the court did not issue any order on it today.

The court then ordered NAB to produce its witnesses and adjourned the hearing until October 4.
