RAWALPINDI (Online): Judge of Special Court of Customs Rawalpindi, Sheraz Kiyani has issued arrest warrants of NTS Director Haroon Rashid in a case of tax evasion and money laundering to the tune of over Rs two billion.
Five co – accused have been delivered copies of the case and adjourned the hearing till January 13. Accused will be convicted on the next hearing. On Tuesday during the hearing Haroon Rashid did not turned up in the court while five co-accused who were already on bail appeared in the court.
All accused are alleged to have been concealed five bank accounts and submitted fake affidavits and thus committed money laundering and tax evasion and gave a loss to the public exchequer to the tune of 2.254 billion rupees and put the future of the students at stake.
During the first fortnight of this month FBR raided the office of NTS and have taken into possession five years record and data of bank accounts.
