Court sends Asad Qaiser to jail on judicial remand

F.P. Report

SWABI: Rejecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Anti-Corruption Establishment’s (ACE) request for an extension in the physical remand of PTI stalwart and former National Assembly (NA) speaker Asad Qaiser, a court in Swabi on Thursday sent him to jail on a 14-day judicial remand instead.

Earlier, Asad was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Khalil Khan.

Asad, who is accused of usurping funds allocated for the purchase of medical equipment for Swabi’s Gajju Khan Medical College, had been arrested from his Bani Gala residence on November 3.
