Crackdown to be launched against fake number plates from today

Karachi: Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that a massive crackdown is being launched across the province from today against fake number plates , unregistered vehicles and display of arms . He warned people that government does not intend to trouble them. It is better for people to follow the SOPs and fix their vehicles themselves.

He expressed these views while talking to the media at the Sindh assembly media corner.

He said that no one is above the law and it applies to everyone equally. The minister added that those who posses arms license can carry their arms in concealed manner but no one can display it . The minister said that no one will be allowed to create terror among the citizens by displaying weapons. In response to a question, he said that Imran Khan’s Tigers have been given a good offer.

The minister invited PTI to celebrate their Jail Bharo Tehreek festival in Sindh and added that pick and drop service will be provided to them.

He said that PTI MPAs, parliamentarians and supporters should give their names for voluntarily arrest. If they are reluctant to forward their name to Sindh government, they should disclose it to media. He said that Imran Khan is disappointed with Jail Bharo Tehreek as not a single person in Sindh ready to render arrest in jail Bharo Tehreek.

The provincial minister said that Imran Khan considers himself a world leader and has large followers and admirers in the UK and the whole world, then he should start a Jail Bharo movement in the UK as well. He said that he should start the Jail Bharo Movement there from his home and present his three children for the Jail Bharo Movement as Imran Khan is only forcing youth of Pakistan to participate in Tahreek.

In response to another question, the provincial minister said that the great leader of Pakistan Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhuto , who gave the constitution and nuclear power to the country, had been judicially murdered.

He said that former President Asif Ali Zardari filed a reference in the Supreme Court seeking justice for Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhuto but the Supreme Court of Pakistan has no time to initiate hearing on the reference and it was still pending ,while Suo Moto action is taken immediately on small matters. He said that wherever relief has to be given to the ‘ladlas’ , the courts are opened at 12 o’clock at night and on Sundays as well. He said that Pakistan People’s Party has remained biggest victim of judicial activism.

He said that Pakistan People’s Party had criticized the decisions of the court but never targeted the judiciary. He said that the country could not be run in this manner . It is an alarming situation in the country. On the question of digital census, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Sindh government will support every such initiative under which the process of digital census is ensured in a transparent manner and added they have no political disagreement with anyone on this matter.
